Verify and/or Update My Diploma Information

Your name as it will be printed on your diploma and in the ceremony program, can be seen in the box titled Graduation (see path listed above to find this information). Your DIPLOMA NAME is your legal name on file in the MTSU student system at the time you submitted your Intent to Graduate form. All diploma name changes for August 2025 expected graduates must be submitted by Friday, June 13, 2025. Diploma reprints due to a name change after the posted deadline are $30 per diploma.

You do NOT have to submit legal documentation if you are simply changing an existing middle name to an initial, removing a middle or maiden name from your diploma name or updating your diploma name based on an official name change completed after submission of your Intent to Graduate. For this type of diploma name change, you can email [email protected]from your MTSU issued email.  Please include your M number.

If you need to change your diploma name (for example, add a middle name, change a last name, etc.), you must submit a name change form (you will log into your PipelineMT account to go to the form) and the required documentation.  Required documentation that will be accepted for a name change includes valid state issued driver’s license, state-issued identification card, passport or permanent resident card.  The purpose of this new dynamic Name Change form is to allow for secure submission of documents for an official university name change.

IMPORTANT:  After you receive the confirmation email that your MTSU system name has been changed, you must then email [email protected] and indicate a diploma name change is also requested.  Submitting the Name Change form does not automatically update the diploma name.  You may also choose to go in person to the MT OneStop to complete a paper name change form with the accepted documentation as listed above.

If you are an International Student only International Affairs or the College of Graduate Studies may change your system name. If International Affairs or the College of Graduate Studies makes a change to your system name you must then notify [email protected] to update your diploma name by the deadline.

Your diploma address is the address listed on your Intent to Graduate form. As you may have moved since submitting your intent or plan to move after graduation you are responsible for verifying your diploma address.

A diploma mailing address change can only be made by emailing [email protected] from your MTSU email indicating “diploma” address. You must include your M#. All diploma mailing address changes must be submitted by Friday, August 8, 2025. There will be a $30.00 charge to re-issue your diploma if the diploma address was not updated by the deadline and subsequently mailed to an invalid address.

Submitting an address change through your PipelineMT account or completing a change of address form will NOT change the address to which your diploma will be mailed.

Diplomas will be mailed beginning August 25, 2025. There will be an option to pick up your diploma August 21-22 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm in the Registrar’s Office (SSAC 150) before they are mailed. Digital Diplomas

You have worked hard to earn your degree, and after graduation it’s time to celebrate your achievement, thank those who matter most to you, and let your credentials work for you. MTSU has teamed up with Parchment to offer our graduates an official digital version of our printed diploma. It is a faster, free, and sharable version of the diploma. Celebrate your accomplishment with those who supported you along the way – your family, friends and colleagues. You may also share your digital diploma with potential employers to kick-start the next step in your journey or career.

Confirmed graduates will receive an email from [email protected] to their MTSU email account informing them that their digital diploma is now accessible. You will then receive a notification from Parchment with the link to claim the digital diploma. Graduates can access the digital diploma more than a week before printed diplomas are available during diploma pick-up.

For August 2025 digital diplomas will be sent on Monday, August 18, 2025. Printed diploma pick-up will be held August 21-22, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Registrar’s Office (SSAC 150) before they are mailed. If confirmed graduates cannot pick up during these three days, diplomas will then be mailed to the diploma address which was listed on their intent to graduate form. Please allow up to 21 business days for the MTSU/U.S. Post Offices to process and deliver printed diplomas.

Confirmed graduates will receive an email notification to their MTSU email account from [email protected] letting them know that the notification email from Parchment is on the way with instructions to claim the free digital diploma.
